Moore House Care & Education Aiming High for Scotland’s Young People

Moore House Care & Education offer residential care and education for young people aged between 8 and 20 from across Scotland. We have seven residential care services based in West Lothian and Fife.

Due to future development and continued planned expansion, the following opportunities have arisen within our organisation:

 

Senior Practitioners (£23,518 – £26,832)

The post of Senior Practitioner will contribute to the effective operational management of our residential care services. Through assisting the management team, the role will contribute to the provision of safe, secure and nurturing environments for our young people. An important aspect of the role includes mentoring and coaching staff members and building the capacity of the staff team to deliver high quality services. Demonstrating a strong commitment to DDP practice, the Senior Practitioner will act as an effective role model using the principles of Playfulness, Acceptance, Curiosity, Empathy (PACE) in their engagement with young people, colleague and others.

The successful applicant will possess sound experience and understanding of residential care and education, and have the ability to apply theory to practice, including attachment and trauma as well as DDP. You will be qualified in childcare; social work; community learning and development or another relevant discipline.
