Iain joined Moore House Care and Education in 2016.
He brings with him a wealth of experience, ranging back over a long and rewarding, 33 year career in education.
Iain started out as a P.E. teacher way back in 1983 and immediately began a dual career in both mainstream schools and special education.
Achieving his post-graduate Diploma in Special Education in 1989, Iain worked as Head of Learning Support in a school in Dunblane for 11 years, before being head hunted to become the Senior Trainer for a company called The Learning Game.
This position gave Iain the opportunity to travel extensively throughout the UK and work with thousands of young people in helping them become the best version of themselves possible.
Qualifying as a Life Coach in 2003, Iain has devoted his teaching career since then to working with young people exhibiting challenging behaviours in both mainstream settings and specialist provisions, such as residential schools and behaviour support services.
Iain is absolutely passionate about helping young people to see their true value and to bring out the best in themselves.
Known as “Mr Positivity”, Iain sees no challenge as being too great and firmly believes that young people are capable of achieving great success, giving the right training, help and support – with a “can-do positive attitude”, Iain would encourage EVERY young person to be all they can be.
