Hollybank

   Residential Services:   Hollybank

Hollybank Place is a 4 bedded end terraced house in a cul-de-sac setting with a front, back and side garden, based within a quiet community setting near to the town centre of Livingston. There is access to a number of local amenities within walking distance including a leisure centre, medical centre, shops and restaurants. Hollybank has ease of access to local bus routes and public transport into both Livingston and the surrounding areas, with train services accessible to Glasgow and Edinburgh.

Holllybank is ideal for young people continuing with their Education or for those progressing with independent living and still requiring support to enhance their confidence and skills. Due to the close proximity of the town centre there are opportunities for young people to gain life skills and confidence in use of public transport and travel for leisure and education purposes.

Hollybank is in a relatively quiet setting due to the small number of houses within the terraced street, providing a warm, homely and welcoming environment. There is a large dining/living room area with a kitchen downstairs and 4 bedrooms upstairs with a separate area for toilet and shower. We actively encourage and promote young people’s participation in the daily running and decision making in the house. This includes weekly food shops, preparation of meals, planning special events/holidays, and general day to day cleaning and house maintenance.

The staff team promote the DDP PACE principles in order to help and support young people form trusting, safe and loving attachments. Our relationships enable us to safely explore and understand how events in our young people’s past impact on what they think and feel in the present.
