Case Study 2

S was admitted to Moore House in July 2002 as a resident from a children's unit in Edinburgh. He had not attended school for over 6 months, and had minimal contact with his family.

S was supported to re-establish contact with his family, and a programme of home leave was begun. This resulted in S becoming a day pupil by the middle of 2003. S subsequently had further difficulties at home and was able to be readmitted to the school in October 2004.

He is due to leave in June 2005, and is being considered for one of the throughcare projects.
