Care Inspectorate highlight “very positive outcomes”

We are very pleased to inform you of our latest inspection report relating to two of our community based services in Livingston; Granby and Hollybank. These services provide flexible packages of care, support and, where required, education, to a maximum of three young people in each of the two houses located within the community.

Of the eight quality statements we were inspected against, grades of ‘5’ were achieved for five statements and ‘4’ for the remaining three.

The inspection recognised the high quality of care and support provided and the ‘very positive outcomes’ for the young people using the service. Our staff team received particular praise, being described as ‘child-centered and caring, demonstrating a strong commitment to working consistently with young people to help them achieve success’ and as ‘skillful and sensitive in their approach’.

This was reflected in the very positive comments from the young people themselves;

‘It has helped me a lot. It has helped me with anger management. It has given me confidence back.’

‘I feel like it – its a big family. The manager and staff are good, fair, they listen to you.’

‘Truthfully there’s not one bad thing I can say. They have done everything they can.’
