Welcome
Moore House Care & Education is an independent organisation that specialises in the provision of high quality child care and education services for young people between the ages of 11 and 18 years, who have additional support needs because of the social, emotional and behavioural challenges they face.
Established in 1988, the organisation has gained an excellent reputation and enjoys a positive relationship with a large number of local authorities throughout Scotland and the north of England. We fully subscribe to the Scottish Government initiatives of 'Getting It Right For Every Child', 'We Can And Must Do Better', 'These Are Oor Bairns' and 'A Curriculum For Excellence'. Our services aim to assist local authorities in fulfilling their statutory obligations and corporate-parent responsibilities.
As a forward-thinking organisation, we provide a truly child-centred service by involving young people and their families as partners in our thinking and planning. Creating an environment in which the young person feels safe and supported is our prime task, underpinning which is a strong commitment to the value and worth of each individual.
